Our counseling services are aimed at migrant women and their families. Clients come to agisra from Africa, Asia, Latin America and Central and Eastern Europe. The counseling work is geared towards different requests and needs, depending on the different life situations of the women*.
Services and subject areas:
- Psychosocial counseling and support
- Psychosocial support for victims of trafficking, forced marriage, female genital mutilation and other forms of gender-based violence
- Outreach social work/streetwork in the red-light district
- Information on specific social law issues
- Information on educational and support services offered by other institutions
- Accompaniment to authorities and assistance in dealing with authorities
- Accommodation for women* seeking protection, including in women’s shelters
- Advice on residence law issues
- Trauma-sensitive counselling and stabilization
agisra offers psychosocial counseling and support for all migrant and refugee women* regardless of their social and ethnic background, religion, age, sexual orientation, language skills and residence status.
Furthermore, agisra offers trauma-sensitive counselling and stabilization.
The counseling service is free of charge, anonymous and takes place on a voluntary basis.
